Fall Rec 2019

Fall Rec is competitive but focuses more on player development and has a lesser time commitment than Fall Select. This is a great program for beginners as well as seasoned players looking to improve their game and to prepare for the upcoming Spring Season.

The program is for 6U, 8U, 10U, and 12U players. We ask players joining our 6u division be at least 4.5 years old by the beginning of the Fall season. Our 14U age players are requested to join our Select Program.

Season will run early September through 4th weekend of November.
*Practices: Once per week; can begin late August. At times an additional NON-mandatory practice could be scheduled, i.e. batting cages.
*Games: 1 game every Sunday (The exception to this is during end-of season tournament when games can held on Saturday and/or Sunday).
*Uniforms (included with registration fee): 6u division will receive a T-shirt and one pair of socks; 8u-12u division will receive jersey, pants and one pair of socks.
*Competitiveness: Teams are represented from nearby leagues. While some games will be played in Mission Viejo, many games will be played in other surrounding cities within Orange County. The league is competitive but still offers girls with other time commitments to be able to participate.
*Selection Process: A skills evaluation day will be held on August 17th. Coaches will draft their teams to ensure an equitable distribution of skills across the MVGS Fall Rec teams. Due to our draft process, please understand we do not honor buddy or carpool request except in our 6u division.

Any play-up requests must be approved by our board of directors. Please understand that we review each girl on a case by case basis. We encourage all girls to stay in their age appropriate division. However, if you would like to petition to have your daughter evaluated, please complete the "Division Change Request Form" found on our website
