Fall Rec 2018

Registration is closed

Fall Rec is competitive, but focuses more on player development and has a lesser time commitment than Fall Select. This is a great program for beginners as well as seasoned Fall Rec players looking to improve their game and to prepare for the upcoming Spring Season. The program is for 6U, 8U, 10U, and 12U age appropriate players. Our 14U age players are requested to join our select program.
Practices: Once per week. At times an additional NON-mandatory practice could be scheduled, i.e. batting cages.
Games: 1 game every Sunday (The exception to this is when the end of season tournament is held-the games are typically held on Saturday or Sunday).
Practices begin in late August, with games running from mid Sept till November.
Competitiveness: Teams are represented from nearby leagues, and while some games will be played in Mission Viejo, many games will be played in Aliso Viejo and other surrounding cities. The league is competitive, but still offers girls with other time commitments to be able to participate.
Selection Process: A skills evaluation day will be held on August 18th. Coaches will draft their teams to ensure an equitable distribution of skills across the MVGS Fall Rec teams. Practices begin in late August, with games running from early Sept until November. Due to our draft process please understand we do not honor buddy or carpool request except in our 6u division.
Any add'l play up requests must be approved by our board of directors. Please understand that we review each girl on a case by case basis. There are many factors such as emotional maturity, size and stature as well as athletic ability that all go into consideration. We encourage all girls to stay in their age appropriate division. However, if you would like to petition to have your daughter evaluated, you must submit your request to the registrar at
